Class Information

At Frittenden Church of England Primary School, our small size is one of our greatest strengths. It allows all staff to know the children exceptionally well, building strong and lasting relationships. Many pupils remain with the same teacher for more than one academic year or may be taught by them again later in their school journey. This continuity enables teachers to develop a secure understanding of each child’s learning journey and personal development over time.

Children are grouped flexibly throughout the day according to their needs, whether by ability, interests, or specific learning goals. Teachers use ongoing assessments and analysis of data to identify pupils who may benefit from targeted interventions or additional challenge. Through high-quality, adaptive teaching, staff respond to the emerging needs of all learners, ensuring every child is appropriately supported and stretched across the curriculum.

Our curriculum is broad and balanced, carefully sequenced and underpinned by a clear progression of knowledge and skills. It is designed to inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and equip pupils with the tools they need to thrive both academically and personally. Children are supported to build on prior learning as they move through the school, ensuring their knowledge is secure and meaningful.

We benefit from a stable, experienced team of teachers and support staff who are deeply committed to the children and the wider life of the school. Our staff are a real strength of the school: they consistently go above and beyond to provide the best possible education and pastoral care. Their dedication ensures a nurturing and aspirational environment where every child can flourish.

Our school is well resourced to support learning across the curriculum. We have four classrooms, a dedicated sensory room, a nurturing space to support emotional wellbeing, and several additional breakout areas. We are also proud of our beautiful library, which offers stunning views of the church and surrounding village—a peaceful and inspiring place to foster a love of reading.
